Parents House Recipe!

So I have to say I love my job and I get to share my passions with my friends, family and clients! As for my job I am a Private Yoga teacher and Wellness Coach so in that field I get to pass on words of wisdom and advice to help make peoples lives and my life more enjoyable!
I mean whats the new phrase YOLO...just so you know took me about a year to figure out that meant You Only Live Once! I never wanted to ask because it seemed like I should know otherwise I was that "old" person who didn't know what the "kids" were saying these days! Well cheers to YOLO. Well because YOLO exists I have been traveling now for about 5 months. My "base camp" is the beautiful Park City,Utah but for now in my travels I have been crashing at my parents house for about a month and its great and educational.
While I am here, my mom requested we try to get my dad to eat better and seeing that my job is a wellness coach I accepted the challenge and tonight succeeded!  So I wanted to share a recipe for those of you who have a significant other that you want to eat healthier. Tonight, I got my dad to eat healthier ...and he liked it. See my father is a wonderful man, is very active, but eats like crap, so my mom and I have to "trick" him into eating healthy food. So y'all try this one out. It's tasty and super easy and they will have no idea what they are eating! My dad liked it and still has no idea!

Secret Spaghetti

1 Spaghetti Squash
1 can of your favorite (preferable natural) Spaghetti Sauce
1 lb ground turkey meat ( optional if your going vegetarian if so I recommend some veggies like zucchinis or squash sautéed )
1 bunch Asparagus (cut into small pieces so they can't really see it)
2 Cups Spinach  (cut into small pieces so they can't really see it)
1 small onion
Garlic to taste
Salt and Pepper to taste (S+P)
Italian Seasoning to taste

Heres what I did...
Cut the squash in half, coat with olive oil or peanut oil S+P and Cook the Spaghetti squash in the oven till soft. 375 degrees for about 40-50 mins (no time for oven 15 minutes in the microwave works) Once soft let cool for about 15 min. Once cool scrap the squash out with a fork. In a large skillet add a small amount of peanut oil, add the asparagus, onion and garlic cooking till asparagus is slightly soft then add in the squash mixing ingredients together. This is when I added lots of Italian seasoning and more garlic! If cooking turkey add it in with the asparagus. Once mixed add the spinach and spaghetti sauce. Make sure you add enough to 'hide that its squash" Once heated up top with parmesan and enjoy!  We had white beans for a side so talk about getting some healthier foods in!....Ok I'm no Rachael Ray at directions ...not sure if I ever will be I will try but I promise If I can do it you can!

The first post.....Wash the Mud off your Face!

Ok, I have been wanting to write a blog for years now and have all sorts of ideas  on what I want to share talk about etc, but my question is always...Where do I start?? Well I have been debating that question for so long now and it has kept me from starting until I recently got some great words of wisdom from a dear friend and what she said was "just start typing" well it has been a month since she said that and I still had some reason why I didn't start writing. But guess what today I did and thats also my question for everyone,  Whats stopping you from starting....Anything?? A new adventure, diet, job, skincare, a yoga practice, a new relationship or just a new way of living? Why not start? I am just curious if the reasons we all have are the same, and for me none of them really any good. Oh I know its scary and hard and for most of us means our mom or someone was right somewhere along the way! Ya know that person that always said "your a fighter" or "you got this" or whatever the saying was that was supposed to motivate you but secretly pissed you off and you would do anything to show them or yourself that you would fail. Which really makes no sense! Well I finally know that person isn't crazy, it is simply my own mind stopping me and to be honest I had no idea that this is even what I was going to write about but I "just started typing"! So that's what I am going to do and see where it goes because the biggest thing I realized is why not? So whats stopping you and what do you need to do to rinse the mud off your face, your shoes, or whatever area of your life is keeping you stuck and just start!

P.S.  I would love to hear what area your stuck in and what you need get unstuck because if you don't ask you don't receive! and besides it gives me reasons to avoid typing more since I can just read what yall write! Which is just one more way of staying stuck in the dang mud!
